A Face in the Morning

The yellow bowl of energy is rising from the east
Throwing speckles of light on such an endearing plane
Sculpted with two lakes, a hill with a pair of caves
And a sweet habitat for school of silvery scales

Gradually, radiance starts to emit heat
And the bowl of light up in the east
Birds sing their pieces, toads home to their keep
And a pair of eyes ogling a beautiful land asleep

The Speech of the Mute

Crystal now breaking
Clouds starting to coalesce
The morning sea rising
Bright days starting to darken

Look at the birds, no more warbling
Nor the dogs, no longer howling
There's the car, slowly rusting
The book gathering dust - nobody reading

Wait...don't put away the crescent
Don't allow the rain to come
There's still the old folk tune and old-time friends
Of the mute, centripetally gathering
